Menton

« Legend has it that Eve, expelled from Paradise along with Adam, took with her a piece of golden fruit. Adam, fearing the wrath of God, urged her to throw it away. When they reached the Bay of Garavan everything reminded Eve of the sweetness of Eden. She buried the lemon there and from that sprung this little paradise: Menton. »
This pretty Mediterranean seaside resort came into being during the Belle Epoque, greatly prized by English tourists and Russian aristocrats. Today, exploring Menton means strolling through the historic center with its ochre facades and slatted blinds that filter the sunlight, visiting the religious and cultural monuments such as the Cocteau Museum, enjoying the exceptional gardens and appreciating this land of citrus fruits with its sweet fragrances.
